Goodbye Sandfly was formulated in 1999 during an ocean retreat. Becky loaded up all her essential oils and a layer empty small brown glass bottles in “Little Red”, a Mazda 323 and drove from Queenstown to the Catlins. She worked with the oils, then when her nose became confused, she took walks on the beach and sang to the ocean.
Sixteen years later, Goodbye Sandfly has just clocked 5 years in a row as NZ’s #1 selling natural bug repellent. This product is baked right in to the family, with Becky and John’s children (ages 7 and 11) growing up with Mom and Dad bottling at the kitchen table. These days, Goodbye Sandfly is made (mostly) in a lab in Auckland, but as a home-based business, the kitchen table still does its share of work.

Distribution & Admin Assistant
This is approximately a 9 hour per week job, usually Wednesdays and Thursdays, although other weekdays are possible. About 2/3 of this position is creating invoices and preparing orders for courier.
