We sell product in plastic bottles. Along with shipping, the plastic bottles are our biggest costs to the environment. We have not yet figured out a way around these factors. But, here is what we are doing.
We educate people to cover up, so that they need LESS product.
We sell larger - refill size bottles directly from us that are very economical.
We are working on a NZ wide refill system for next summer, so that you can re-use your bottles.

We have just created a Facebook page for Goodbye Sandfly. The idea behind this page is to offer an easy way for you to feedback and find other customers' feedback on the product and the environment in general. Whether you've liked the product or not, your feedback will help other people get a good picture of what Goodbye Sandfly can (& can't) do.

The Sandfly Report was launched October 2009. It is essentially a blank canvas waiting for input. With entries, the Sandfly Report becomes a resource for anyone wanting more information on travel in New Zealand bush and beach. Where are they and how bad? The Sandfly Report is not meant to steer you away from areas where the sandflies are hectic. It is meant to help you be prepared so that you can truly enjoy the word defying beauty that is NZ. If you skip sandfly country, you will miss the best of it. So........... Go, but don't go naked.
